Leader’s Retreat and Vision Tour

Roughly two weeks ago (January 23-24) the Campus Outreach Staff and student leaders from Bethel, Northwestern, and the University of Minnesota came together for a weekend leader’s retreat.  The purpose of the retreat was to cast vision for the students as they began the spring semester.  The idea was that the students would leave the retreat with a heart to reach their respective campuses with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Clint Watson and Nathan Nix from Campus Outreach Atlanta came up and braved the Minnesota cold in order to speak to the students.  They talked about what God had been doing on their campuses through their students and stressed the importance of “seeing the world through one person.”

The students were also able to participate in a bus tour around Minneapolis which showed them the need for the gospel in their own city.  They were able to see the many different people groups that are represented in Minneapolis, and how reaching the nations involves simply stepping outside their front door.  It was a very powerful tour which greatly impacted the worldview of our students.
