At the Engage Global Retreat, our friend spoke about Islam and the Somali community within Minneapolis. We also discussed various aspects of one Somali Muslim woman’s conversion to Christianity including exposure to God’s word and a loving Christian presence.

This discussion was an important reminder of humbly learning about a culture in order to share the gospel in a manner that overcomes cultural barriers.

We also participated in an activity with two different "cultures" to learn the importance of a learner’s posture when sharing the gospel cross-culturally.
At the Engage Global retreat, we talked about the meaning of The Great Commission and discussed God's heart for the nations throughout the bible. He also talked about global missions and the 10/40 window.
