Life Training

*Free From the Love of Money

During this life training Cody Walkup talks about our freedom from the love of money. He unpacks this with the thought of "We are freed up to give generously when we trust the provision of God over the security money offers". He breaks down what it means to live freely in the security that God provides for his children and what it looks like to use and spend money with a serving and giving heart.

Free Rest, Work Free

In this talk Jared Wass talks about work and what it means to job search and find a job in which we can glorify God. He talks about this by comparing how the world views work to how christians should view work. He unravels this topic by talking about how work is a necessary good, that all work is significant, and we all work from approval instead of working for approval. Jared than ends the talk by asking the question: What drives me to do what I do? Fear? or approval?

A Worshipping Lifestyle

Andrew Chesebro warned us of the dangerous dichotomy of “sacred vs secular”. Three reasons the dichotomy is false:

  1. God made all things good before the fall.
  2. Because we have fallen hearts, all things are secular.
  3. All of life is worship.

He begged the question, “are you mastered by things in your life or are you free to enjoy them rightly?” He said that we should allow all things in our lives to point us back to Christ.
