New Zealand 2026 - Triumph

Cross Cultural Project (CCP) 2026 is just around the corner! Campus Outreach Minneapolis has taken a small group of college students overseas to do missions on college campuses since 2003. In the past, staff has taken students to India, Brazil, South Africa, and Thailand. This is the third year in which Campus Outreach Minneapolis is taking students to Dunedin, New Zealand. The purpose of CCP is to open the eyes of the students to see the need for the gospel in other parts of the world, and to serve the local church in New Zealand by engaging in friendships and gospel conversations with college students at the University of Otago.

In four days, our CCP team will leave for Garden City, South Carolina. We will spend nine days with the students at STP (Summer Training Project). STP is an eight week discipleship program designed for college students to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. There are 130 students from Minnesota and Kentucky at STP 2026. The purpose of spending time at STP before going to New Zealand is to prepare for the trip, teach STP students about cross-cultural missions, inform STP students of our prayer needs, and help cultivate interest for STP students to join CCP teams in the future. This will also be a useful time for the CCP team to spend quality time with each other, and have a restful time at the beach as we prepare for a busy time in New Zealand.

The theme of CCP 2026 is Triumph, based on 2 Corinthians 2:14-17.

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God's word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.”

In this context, triumph has a different definition. It does not mean to win, succeed, be comfortable, or achieve our goals. Because of Christ’s triumphal procession, the victory is also ours. This is what it means to triumph in Christ; not because of anything we have done, or any worldly accomplishment, but because Christ has already won the battle! We can now carry the aroma of Christ to another culture, and we can do this confidently because of the victory that Christ has already won.

As we get closer to CCP, our team would greatly appreciate your prayers! Please pray for safe travels, and protection from sickness as we prepare for the summer. We would also appreciate prayer for financial support, as some team members are still raising support. We are trusting God to provide everything needed and are grateful for your prayer!

Meet the 2026 CCP Team!
