St. Thomas Campus Staff

Give Now to Jake and Ellie

I (Ellie) grew up in a Christian household that taught me the love of Jesus with their actions. I attended a church that is Biblically founded and grew in my knowledge of Scripture. I loved Jesus from a very early age and wanted to live my life for Him. At a high school Bible camp, I felt called into ministry. I decided to attend the University of Northwestern for a degree in Youth and Emerging Adults Ministry.

My freshman year of college, I met a woman on staff with Campus Outreach who dramatically impacted my life by diving into the gospel with me. Because of this woman being intentional with me through friendship, one-on-one Bible study and group Bible study, I deepened my faith with a fuller understanding of the gospel. Now I feel called to serve others the same way CO staff served me.

I (Jake) am a pastor’s kid from St. Peter, Minnesota. I came to know Jesus at a very young age and I am blessed to have no memories of a time when I wasn’t trusting in Jesus as my savior. The Lord has pursued me for my whole life and sanctified me. I’ve come to cherish the good news of Christ and devote my life to Him.

I attended college at the University of Northwestern. It was at UNW where I first became aware of Campus Outreach as a freshman. I quickly became involved in the ministry, was discipled, and found a great community of fellow young men learning more about what the news of Jesus means for their life. My time with CO changed and grew me as a man of God and the lessons I learned there have equipped me as a husband, friend, and contributor to the Kingdom.

After a few years of being in the workforce, I have felt the pull and call from God to work for Campus Outreach and commit to a life of spreading the good news of Jesus to college students, and helping them see what that means for their lives.
