2025 Summer Training Project Week 1

Hello friends and family! My name is Abbie, and I am one of the Communications Interns for Summer Training Project 2025. I am a senior studying Graphic Design and Marketing at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul. I am so excited that I get to take you all alongside my summer as a room leader to see a snapshot of what’s going on this summer at project!

This week at our theme introduction night we learned what the theme of this summer is going to be – Worth! We will be diving into the word and learning what it looks like and means to truly find our worth and identity in Jesus and his Word.

This summer we are studying Philippians with focus on our theme verse:

”Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him., not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—”

We began our week with some orientation, trainings, and some getting to know each other. We also began our first week at work which includes Walmart, Surfside Chick-Fil-A, and the Sea Shack. Our first week of work and trainings helped get the participants into the swing of things. While we worked and learned about the Word, we also had some fun. On Thursday night, we had our first social which was a Low Country Boil which entailed dressing up as either hick country or preppy country, enjoying an southern sea food boil, carnival games, and karaoke.

It is very clear the Lord is doing amazing things at STP so far and will continue to work incredibly this summer. Stay tuned for more updates and we would appreciate your prayers!
