Our second week at project was the first week with our full project schedule. This week was full of work, trainings, our social, and just fellowship. Our Thursday this week featured a “boat social” which entailed a five-minute production put on by each team in the theme of an assigned Disney movie.
To help you understand our schedule a little more, let’s take a look at each of the different trainings that happen on each day.
Monday
Mondays are Theme nights which include some sort of hype game to get our participants excited for the upcoming week’s events, encouragement night, and Thursday social and a talk. This Monday, Shawn Schweickhardt talked about the significance of our sin and how the only way we can break free from our sin is if we lean on the Lord.
Tuesday
Tuesday night is a free night for the participants but the room leaders, team leaders, and project directors have leaders training and discipleship group. We are going through a study of 2 Timothy 2: 2-10 Leader’s training is a time meant to develop and grow as spiritual leaders through training and living out the call to be a humble servant to God In discipleship group, we got to have a time of fellowship, encouraging each other, and praying for the spiritual growth of each girl in our rooms.
Wednesday
Wednesday mornings we have Life training is a training about practical application of the word of God in our lives. This Wednesday, John Evanko and Ariana Cecka talked about biblical womanhood and manhood. This talk was an amazing eye-opener to how the Lord has designed the roles of Christian men and women.
Thursday
Thursdays are a fun night of a social, event, or activity. This weeks social was something we call “The Boat Social” which is short skit put on by each team reenacting a Disney movie with a homemade boat somehow involved in the performance. This years winner for the boat social was… The Little Mermaid!!
Friday
Fridays are our evangelism on the beach days. Evangelism training includes a talk about how to more effectively share the gospel. This weeks talk emphasized corporate evangelism which focuses on the effective spreading of the gospel through the church instead of relying solely on individuals.
Saturday
Saturdays are word training which focuses on the Word of God and how to study it better. This weeks word training talked about how all of scripture ultimately points to Jesus and how it our source to know how to live a Christian life.
