With three weeks already in the books, the summer is continuing to fly by faster and faster. This week was another week filled with more growing in the Lord together, sharing memories with each other, and just doing life together. A big theme from this week was humility. What does it mean to be humble? The Bible defines it as “considering others more significant than yourself.”
The verse that highlighted this was Philippians 2:3-4:
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
The only way we can fight our own sinful and fleshly desires to please ourselves first and foremost, we must first fill our hearts with God’s love which in turn makes us want to love others above our own selves. Our ultimate example is Jesus Christ humbling himself to the point of death on the cross and taking the punishment that meant for us. How can we live out a knowledge that because of our Saviors humility, we are able to live for Him. As we learn more about who God is and how to live out a love for Him, please pray for continued safety, growth, and a fruitful time for each of the people here at project.
